Technical education begins
TTU traces its institutional history to the Government Technical Institute established in April 1954.
Graphic Design Technology takes shape
The department was created from the former Fine Art Department, establishing a dedicated home for graphic design education.

A technical university era
The conversion from Takoradi Polytechnic to Takoradi Technical University opened a new institutional chapter.
